The Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Cardiology holds an annual Day on the Hill at the Tennessee Capitol. Meetings are scheduled with Legislators, issues important to heart health are discussed, and relationships are formed. 

Federal Advocacy

The American College of Cardiology’s advocacy has resulted in a number of significant wins for providers, patients, and practices in recent years. Through its advocacy efforts, the College has:

  • Protected patient access to imaging and other essential cardiovascular services
  • Facilitated alternative payment model participation Testified during congressional committee hearings
  • Advanced cardiovascular disease prevention in the states
  • Influenced national coverage decisions
